Catherine Anne

 Catherine Anne O'Hara OC (born March 4, 1954)is a Canadian-American actress comedian, writer, and actress. O'Hara has been the recipient of numerous awards including an award from the Genie Award and a Golden Globe Award. O'Hara also was awarded two Screen Actors Guild Awards, two Primetime Emmy Awards, six Canadian Screen Awards, and two Screen Actors Guild Awards. In 2018, she was named an Officer of Canada. In the year 2020, she was presented with the Governor General's Performing Arts Performing Arts Artistic Achievement Award. O'Hara made her name as an actress as a member in 1974 of The Second City, an comedy troupe that was based in Toronto. Alongside John Candy (1975-1978), she was part of the principal cast of the sitcom Coming Up Rosie (1975-1978). O'Hara, Candy, and Dan Aykroyd first began working in Second City Television's sketch comedy series (1976-1984). O'Hara received critical acclaim for her comedic writing and acting skills which earned her the Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Writer for the Variety Series in 1982. O'Hara, Steve Carell and Dwayne Colbert were included on the Second City artistic board in 2022.
